There are many different styled vehicles that come up quite often. One always gets a feeling to try them at least once. There is one such innovatively designed vehicle that I like. It is called Honda Ridgeline.

This mid to full sized sport utility truck is from Japanese company Honda. It was unveiled in March 2005 and came in market as a 2006 model.

This model makes use of unibody architecture unibody/ ladder frame hybrid chassis. The company claims that due to this designing it obtains 2.5 times more the bending rigidity as well as 20 times torsional rigidity as compared to the standard ladder frame chassis construction type. It also retains the capacity to carry load of the traditional frame.

The standard equipment found on this model are heated windshield, anti-lock brakes, four wheel drive locking mode, side-curtain airbags and VSA having off switch. There is a big rear seat that can fold-up to create a cargo space from floor to ceiling. You will get it in four trim level options – basic RT, sport RTS, RTX and lastly premium RTL.

The RTX was introduced with 2007 model. It gives gray-painted alloy wheels, alternate grille as well as factory tow package among other features. The RTS gives various upholstery materials and also adds the 6-CD changer, body-colored mirrors, subwoofer, dual zone climate control system and silver-painted alloy wheels. The RTL gives leather trimmed upholstery for widening the choice option. The Ridgeline got a facelift in the model year 2009.

This truck contains four-wheel independent suspension. It is combined with unibody design to give a new stable level that handles the load much more that could be attained as compared to the older platforms.
